I feel your pain, man. I entered some real heat into the contest this year, after paying for reader feedback for the first time and correcting structural issues within the script (my biggest screenwriting weakness). I thought these changes would propel the script forward, so when the end of December hit without a notification, I was disappointed to say the least. I'm still in denial mode, haha.
Subjectivity is a beast and contests aren't always indicative of ability. There's a reason why people compare it to the lottery, you gotta hit with the right reader. I think I'll be trying out the new Blacklist. At least that way if there's a disconnect with the reader, I'll know exactly where my script stands and why it didn't prosper. There will be no "jaded reader" thoughts.

Site says they list the results starting around 1/10. I'm in the same boat, but laying down some hot pages on my next script, excited . Congrats Emily on last years competition!! (Mr. late to the party... ).

                Yeah, congrats to the winners!

This is why I like contests with feedback, at least you know why you did not win/place - like Austin 2nd rounders and above, when I received my feedback I was like 'Oh yeah, duh,' but without it I am like 'Huh... darnit.'

trackingb does charge a pretty penny as well, but I think that's to keep submissions around the 1000 range. With that much in entry fees, it would be cool to at least get the scorecard. Oh well, no sour grapes here. If my entry is worth anything, it'll find its way...

                    Re: TrackingB

Did you guys see that all the winning scripts were announced with new representation? That's crazy! Which contest does that?

If you want feedback on your script, pay fifty bucks for notes. Dunno his secret, but The Insider launches careers. Just ask Swetnam and others.

                      Re: TrackingB

Just my opinion now, but TrackingB is the best (and toughest) contest out there if your hoping to get reped as a result of entering. Even 'honorable mentions' get reped. We've been winners and finalists in other supposedly good contests (except Nicholl, of course) and hardly get more than one or two requests, if that. Actually got more requests from a British contest as a semi-finalist, this past year than any other!

A sincere congrats to all the TrackingB 'winners' ! Every logline sounds compelling.

Scifi scripts have done well this year. Is that unique to this contest, or is it a growing trend in the industry?

                        Congrats to the winners.

It's a trend, and one that I, as a lifelong lover of Sci-Fi, am very excited about.

Congrats to all who made it to the finals/honorables. Some great scripts, "Sea", in particular

Yeah - the good news is I know I need to try harder.
