I had a couple of those famous Redbox coupons in email this weekend so I thought I would try out Army of One. (I also rented Sully, which was well done)
If you go into this film knowing it's a completely over the top acted film that takes many liberties with the writing.....it's actually pretty good.
Nic Cage does a great job portraying Gary Faulkner, the man who went to Pakistan several times by himself to try and capture Osama Bin Laden.
I watched an interview of the real guy to see how close Nic got in mannerisms and personality. He did pretty good, but being Nic Cage it is an over-inflated version of the real Gary.
Many of the events in the film didn't happen of course, but it makes for a good story. You can't help but like the guy.
So if you are in the mood for something "not too serious" then check out Army of One.
