Greg, as much as writers rave about BREAKING BAD I think the PBS SHERLOCK series is the best thing on TV. Oh, and I loves me some LUTHER.

Back to THE KILLING, it sure would be a plot twist if the fourth person to get on the elevator was Linden and Holder's boss, the cop who's hiding the evidence files..

            Thanks Greg/Why One.

Interesting. Does BBC America air documentaries, too.

(apologies - don't wish to derail thread, just curious. I sometimes see some great docs over here and wonder, esp if they concern America, if you get to see them, especially some of the BBC4 progs that are produced. I wondered if that was exported).
Forthcoming: The Annual, "I JUST GOT DUMPED" Valentine's Short Screenplay Writing Competition. Keep an eye on Writing Exercises.

If they do, I've missed them (but then I don't look for docs, having far too much fiction film and tv to keep up with). I would guess that British docs probably end up on PBS (but I don't pay attention to those either).

BBC America does air reality series such as Top Gear and Kitchen Nightmares.

Yes, it is difficult to keep up with all media.

Thanks for that extra information though, Greg.

I'd gathered Top Gear was global from things I'd read, airing even in Japan. It was rumoured over here in the UK to be coming to and end but perhaps that was just on the cards for a while and it's fortunes have picked up?

We see it more as comedy with a few cars thrown in.

Just saw this new video.. some interesting comments by the actor who plays Jamie..

So what happens after the killer is revealed? Is the show over? Is there another killing to be investigated next season?

Presume it will follow the Danish model, if renewed, and the next season will be a about a different killing.

The second Danish series is very good, but very much along the same lines. And only half as long; 10 episodes instead of 20.

Ah, ok... thanks for letting me know. Wish I could see the Danish series here

Yup, it's Jamie! He just told Richmond Rosie's murder was an "accident."

Holy ****!!!! It's Aunt Terry who dealt the fatal blow to Rosie... the one who drove the car into the lake.... a bit convoluted an ending... but certainly a plot twist.

Dayum. Not great, but powerfully emotional. Did not see that sh|t coming.

Best part about this series is the attention to character.

Now it's time for some Breaking Bad. Eff yeah.

I love the ending. I never thought it would get around to Terri, but it made perfect sense in retrospect. Desperate to help her boyfriend, desperate in her own life, thinking she's finally got a chance at happiness with the guy and not knowing who's in locked in the trunk, sinks the car.

                              Wow.

My only iffy moment was when Jamie hit Rosie initially -- she was just a kid, was she really going to tell anyone what she heard? Did she even understand the ramifications of any of it, anyway (the bones planted on the riverfront -- Jamie secretly making a deal with the Indian Chief lady)? To tell anyone she'd have to admit she worked at the casino and was leading a double life. Jamie's reaction seemed too intense seeing as how Rosie was only standing there, not confronting him in any way -- she posed no threat, imo. He could've just said "Hey, kid, get off my lawn" and she would've scrammed.

Also, slightly confused as to how they ever ended up in the woods -- he beats her up at the casino, drives with her to the gas station, gets gas, she escapes and he hunts her down? How'd Jamie, who's small-ish, carry an unconscious girl all the way through a casino without being seen? Arghh!

Seems like the writers read the message boards saying Jamie as the killer wasn't much of a twist, so they tacked on Terry as the killer.

I did not buy the argument Jamie had with Ames that he wasn't capable of killing Rosie himself. He proved he was capable of killing her by transporting her to the lake, chasing her down and beating her.

I did not buy that Ames would say to Jamie he would not leave his wife (so Terry could over hear) which had to do with why he could not kill Rosie himself (huh?) and provide some kind of motive to Terry to do what she did.

I did not buy Mitch being happily well adjusted in the last scene after just finding out her sister killed her daughter.

And I wanted to see Mitch and Terry's self-righteous mother's reaction upon learning her daughter killed her grand-daughter.

So, a rather slap-dash convoluted ending, IMO.
