Hollywood, from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. Seven episodes on Netflix. I loved the art direction and detailed production values, but there were many credibility holes in the progression of various characters’ choices and decisions in their respective storylines. Some of the story turns were not believable for me, even within the boundaries of its “what if” fantasy of 1940s equality for all. I wanted to love it in toto, but in the end, I did not.

EDIT TO ADD: Reflecting on this viewing experience two days after watching all episodes in two days’ time, the limited series felt like a musical without music or dance. IMHO, Hollywood could have worked well as a musical.

Honestly I couldn't get through the first episode. I really wanted to like it but it all felt forced to me. Murphy is normally automatic for me but I think this is the first thing he's done that I haven't been a fan of.
