  • Which tracking board to subscribe to?

Are there any benefits between one and another?

Watch out for this place. It's a real hasstle to cancel your subscription. It's not like IMDB when you just press cancel. This place you have to contact them and wait. They drag it along hoping to hit the next payment date.

Do industry people actually read either board?

They have their own tracking boards, the majority don't pay attention to the subscription sites.

Actually, most in the business check out TrackingB or tracking-board. We want all the info we can get.

Nope. They are email based like google groups.

The boards only post info that has hit major studios? And is it just projects sent wide by agents and managers? In other words if you had like 15 prod co's ask for your script it's not going to end up on the boards right? Just curious as to wh and when it gets popped up there.

This was a good read through.

I still am unsure on how to best join one of these.

There was an article (Deadline or The Reporter I think) about the predominance of secret google groups... Even I myself am on a few due to an industry internship. They're kind of no thrills but good intel.

I would not have optioned a script of mine without tracking-board.com. Or, at least not to the producer who downloaded it from that site.

It's not the be-all-end-all, but industry people read it.
