    After introducing a BEAT COP into a scene in capitals, how should it look after?

    Beat Cop, Beat cop, beat cop?

    How about BOY? Would it be Boy or boy?

      I would write it as Beat Cop after the all cap intro, same with Boy if that's what I'm calling the character...

        I agree that if your character is a generic type, then the type becomes a Name.

          Yeah, that's what I was doing. I talked with someone who does it different and started second guessing myself.
