I don't know a thing about her/them, but I will say this:
You want a manager in LA. That's the center of this industry, and you need someone who is in the thick of it. The benefit of having reps is that they have connections that you don't. Someone in New York will not have nearly as big of a network, nor the means to maintain it.
Furthermore, any business with the word "integrity" in it tends to make me wary. The band, on the other hand, is awesome.
Anyone have any experience with Julie Stern (JS Integrity Management) in the New York Area?
Other folks who post here have experienced being "repped" by this company. They may share some of their horror stories. I dealt with her for a brief moment and I would advise you to run.
Yes, but I'm not a writer, we are a management-production company. I dealt with her very briefly and talked to a couple of writers who were "repped" by her. Don't sign anything. That's all I'm going to say.

Not true. Generally, yes. But not always. For example, Lawrence Mattis (you know, reps guys like Max Landis and The Wachowskis) is located in NY. I'd say his network is pretty solid. Yes, CoC also has an L.A. office, but he's located in N.Y.

As for Julie Stern...fringe player.
Max's point managers are David Alpert and Britton Rizzio, both in LA.
She has asked me to sign a "shopping agreement" but I find her attitude rather "strange".
I won't go into the details on a public board, but I have been rather shocked to be honest. But I have been working so hard to find representation I tried to ignore the red (screaming) flags.
Well yeah, of course he has people in L.A....including three agents. My point is simply that there are managers with clout in N.Y. (Mattis, Rowbotham, Belkin, to name several). And a good manager will get you an agent who is in L.A.
