    I said, he's the director, he probably wrote it in the style that suits him.

    Only on this board can THAT cause someone to claim that "I don't understand the role of the director."

    In what aspect does the script Ex Machina's SPACING techniques disqualify it from being able to get into production? Obviously NONE, since it not only sold, but got made, and was enjoyed by many people.

    Just because YOU are not partial to how it is spaced doesn't mean that other people care.
