Default Antoine Fuqua (Training Day)

Anybody know where this guy hangs out? Who works for his production company? Where he gets his hair cut? Where he drinks his lattes? Thanks in advance!

No, but I certainly wouldn't recommend tracking him down. What do you think he's going to do; admire your initiative?

Come to think of it, even your signature is kinda scary.

Well if you think my sig is scary, you're in the wrong business. Fear is not going to get you anywhere in Hollywood.

Dang, I think it's scary too.

But hey, if you find Antoine, ask him if he's related to my grandmother's next-door neighbor, Lois Fuqua.

But seriously, if anyone has a great script, send it to Fuqua. He needs it . Nice visual style but doesn't know how to pick a script.

(I seem to be 1 of 3 ppl on earth who hated TRAINING DAY. Blech. )

Only thing I didn't like about it is that it doesn't even rank in my top 5 (or maybe even 10) of Washington's performances, but it was the first to get him the Best Actor Oscar.

As for Fuqua, I agree that his script selection is shotty, but Training Day is by far his best. One thing you have to consider though is that he aims for projects that many would consider to be "out of his realm" because of his melanin count, and because of that, he gets a lot of scripts that "other" directors may have passed on (Replacement Killers, King Arthur, Tears of the Sun, etc.)

He's just finishing up the adaptation of one of my favorite action novels, called 'Point of Impact'. The movie is called 'Shooter' and stars Mark Wahlberg.

The sad truth is - I believe he will take a story I LOVE and an actor I really like, and turn them both into. . . Well, let's just say, an Antoine Fuqua film.

LOL, no. I don't maneuver in that neck of the woods very often.
