My pleasure. Who knows what it first looked like on the page, but it sure turned out to be a lesson in "less is more." One scene, one actor, no dialogue (except for a primal scream). Also, props to the sound editor - the foley was amazing.

One scene, one actor might be a good prompt for the next DDP writing challenge.

Oh, and one more thing. Spoiler alert! (Drag cursor over white space)...

This is a stellar logline folks!

Clinging to a smooth, curved surface high above a sentient abyss, a girl tries to cover the few feet back to safety without losing purchase and falling to her death.

strange. didn't catch the end. dang. but, well, the rock she seems trapped on is shaped nicely like a woman's behind, at least to me, and the song 'if i had a million dollars' by Barenaked Ladies popped up in my hearing vessels.

this is probably exactly why i will never get nowhere in this business.

Sometimes a movie hits you on a personal level.

This is the exact same struggle I go through every spring when the wind blows a shingle or two off my house.

Utterly terrifying.

I admit this is a good example of great film-making, but how is it "entering late and exiting early"?

We enter with a girl clinging to the smooth, curvy edge of a deep, haunted crevasse. We don't know (and will never know) how she got there, or who she is. Seven short agonizing minutes later, it's over. She's gone. We don't know (and will never know) for certain what happened to her, nor will we know if others will follow.
