I'd be interested to know this, too.

Just a couple of cents here.

When querying this company be sure to check what your content is. They are financed by Chinese money and are pretty strict on what they allow in a script. A lot of censorship.

They don't like blood, guts, sex, gore, nudity, brutality, etc.
Or time travel, they don't like that.

They do like ghosts, paranormal stuffs, hauntings, etc.
Basically anything that a family could watch together.

Just my 2 cents to try and help. But I wish you luck in contacting them. Perhaps you may have just what they are looking for.

They are one of the prodco's for Bad Moms. It has an R rating for full frontal nudity, language, drug and alcohol use (according to imdb). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4651520/...ref_=hm_otw_t1

Well that's cool. Just putting out there what I have heard from others who have queried them. (I haven't queried them so I do not have first hand experience.)

I was only trying to help.....

STX for the most part operates as a studio these days, so you'll find they're much less apt to answer or review queries these days. They tend to really aim for companies to bring in material, rather than develop. Just a heads up.

Off of what mikep noted, I actually met with them about the time they were first firing this up and were over on the Sony lot. Their basic idea, which might have changed a little, was to find an actor (well-known/box office/A-list) who had a story or an idea they really wanted to do. STX would then pair the actor with a writer to write that story/script and give them nearly full autonomy.

Then when the script was done, they'd have a well-known actor attached to their/actor's passion project and thus they could more easily set it up or finding funding to truly get it going. It was kind of "built in box office." It would also be less likely the actor would ever back out, etc. because it was a project they already loved and so wanted to do.
