Default Economist article: foreign viewers dominate, not American prizes

An interesting article on the studio's marketing machinery and the decline of the importance of the "Academy Awards":

I disagree with the article on the notion that Academy Awards should represent what teenagers in Russia, Korea, and the US like to watch most.

It's about accomplishments in filmmaking.

So, in this sense, the Academy Awards are more relevant than ever.

For the popcorn movies you have the box office lists.
