Admittedly I'm not of the target demographic, but there's no way I'm going anywhere near that thing. That's just way too much cheese. No crossover appeal.

Looks like another Ghost Rider or Daredevil in the making.

      Re: Concept images of Thor

Of all the comic book characters to make a movie of, I have no idea why they picked Thor. He's good for maaaybe a 90 minute cartoon movie.

      I mean...really...it's Thor.

      Who cares?

And, as Signal said, those pics look incredibly cheese. Too camp for me.

        Abhorrently photoshopped stills.

But that aside, who the f*ck cares?
Seriously, a Scandinavian speaking miss-mash old-English in a mega-queen outfit with a mullet cut, says nothing more to most people that have heard of him than: stay the hell away!
If there was one popular Marvel character who needed a massive make-over, it would be Thor.

The thee and thou thing annoys me most though.

I would only see this movie if they blended it with TGTBATU and other mythologies.

Imagine Thor, Jesus and Muhammad in a mexican stand-off. Now that would be cinema worth watching.

I don't want to see Thor in a contemporary setting with the Avengers. I want him in Asgard, having Marvel Silver Age adventures with his buddies.

Not an authority on Marvel comics, but I thought the J Michael Straczynski run on THOR was pretty good. Is it true they'll be using parts of that storyline in the movie?

What I love is how Marvel hired Kenneth Branagh to direct it, and you know their thinking was something like, "He does Shakespeare, so he'll be able to handle the thees and thous."

Very unlikely. It was too detached from the fundamentals of the character.

Walt Simonson's run would be more suited for a Thor movie IMO

They should get the little girl from Adventures in Babysitting to play Thor.

where do the studios get all the credit to fund these cheesy movies? and i'm sure they're going to make the budget at about $750 million so that it can gross about $15 million on the first weekend.
