hehe. I still left off 20 or so titles that fall into a gray area in the middle.

I'm glad you included District 9 amongst your rather long list of favorites, otherwise we couldn't be friends...

Re: Your favorite film of 2009.

            My top 5 thus far...

            PARANORMAL ACTIVITY
            STAR TREK
            DRAG ME TO HELL
            PUBLIC ENEMIES
            ADVENTURELAND

            But...

I still haven't seen many of the year's top contenders(UP IN THE AIR, UP, PRECIOUS, THE HURT LOCKER, 500 DAYS OF SUMMER, INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, DISTRICT 9, AVATAR)...so my list, I'm sure, will change greatly in the next month or so.

Stephen King's list reads like he only saw 10 movies in 09.

I've only seen two or three films theatrically in '09. I prefer to wait for Blu-ray and watch them in the comfort of my own home. Might change in '10, though.

I get more mileage from watching older films.

Going to the theater with my friends is always incredibly fun.
