I've never been to Boston, and I haven't read the book, but I thought the movie was good overall. I found it taut, suspenseful, and watchable.
Ben and Jeremy walking away dressed as cops struck me as improbable, but the only thing that really rang false for me was that John Hamm, supposedly a straight-arrow law-and-order FBI man, never had a decent shave. It's one thing to be a goombah with a two-day beard, but they don't let you get away with that in the Bureau.
