I know Jeff personally. We've tried to come together to produce a few projects. He's a good guy!

He and I corresponded a few times about my Nicholl's script last year. He seemed very professional. Although he passed on that script, he was polite, got back to me quickly, and invited queries on future scripts.

I have no idea who Jeff Belkin is but I recognize the name as one I just saw in my Inktip "views"...I think he read my synopsis. Who is he anyway?

jenvon - he's a manager/producer based in nyc. I think his shingle is Foremost Films, but he's also affiliated with Double Nickel Ent.

Rock - I've pm'd you re: him. Thx.

Thanks for solving a mystery for me. I have been observing over many months, numerous viewings of a premise I wrote a while back that had been written and quickly uploaded to a website (something I never do, because I am distrustful) when I was homebound with a trerrrible cold and about half stoned on Nyquol and various other over the counter near hallucinogens. I kept seeing Foremost Films looking at it. The only credit that I could find in IMDB for a Foremost Films was:

                    Not Tonight Henry (1960)

Tagline:Not recommended if you blush easily!

One of the early color near-nudie films and was re-shown often by, mostly, drive-in theatre owners in need of a quick cash fix...

Plot Keywords:Female Nudity / Matriarchy / Nudie Cutie / Nudity / Independent Film

                    Certification:UKBanned) (1961) / FinlandBanned) (1965)
MOVIEmeter: 21% since last week why?
                    Company:Foremost Films more

Couldn't figure out why a circa 1960's Nudie film firm would be looking at a Nyquol induced Sitcom. Apparently (the new) Foremost is still trying to make sense of the Logline, as they have read it pretty frequently. If they decide to move on to the Synopsis, they may need to be instructed that they may need a job aid similar to what the writer used. My suspicion is about 20% of the small bottle will either make it the most obvious completely coherent idea in plain sight, or generate a concrete offer to the author to force feed the remainder of the bottle to him for tormenting his firm's employees. On the other hand, I would have a much better story to relate, if my work was favorably received by a firm that was a Pioneer of Porn instead of the latest incarnation of the name.

I know Jeff has links with a big studio. For the life of me I can't remember which one though (Paramount?).

Unless I am looking in the wrong places, most of what I see up for Foremost looks like it is from a previous incarnation of the name.

Does anyone know if Foremost is mostly a features operation or do they also play in TV?

                            Re: Jeff Belkin?

Jeff Belkin is a young guy who's been knocking around the movie business for many years. He's worked for several different companies including Double Nickel. He reads a lot of newbie material from contests, inktip, etc. Probably most people on this board have been read by him (including me.) But I don't think he has any actual produced credits which makes me wonder how he's actually making a living. Foremost is his new company.

                              Re: Jeff Belkin?

I have a friend who is repped by him, and he says that Jeff is VERY good at story development and has tons of contacts and is always trying for him. Jeff sent out of his scripts, and he got a decent round of meetings out of it, and ALMOST sold a script to this one producer out of it, but the deal evaporated. He says Jeff is a very cool guy to work with. He's always trying, and doesn't really give up on you if the first doesn't sell.

Gosh, I think I want to marry him, based on what I just wrote! OMG!
