    3) Christopher seems new to screenwriting. In the beginning, things are very confusing and some people get really excited and make a lot of assumptions about the way this all works. The best thing to do is help correct the assumptions, not mock the person who doesn't know as much as you do about the business.

This has been a public service announcement from the Moderator's Guild. Now behave.
and therrrrre she is! LOL, Hi Em.. Yes, I am NEW to screenwriting, but not new to marketing, promoting or business in general. I've said before on here and other forums that I am passionate about this business, I'm excited about it, and I love learning new things and all the different feedback and information shared on these forums. Being "new" doesn't automatically make someone an idiot nor do they deserve to be belittled, challenged, or for someone to take their time to research me, find my personal websites from years ago and post them on here? That's just creepy to me

I love it here, I'm happy to be here, and yes, at times (depending on where I am in the day with my a.d.d. meds) I need to step away from the computer, take a deep breath and go do something else. Kind of like now...gonna go play trains and talking puzzles with my son....But I MUST turn this darned Thomas the tank engine off, its driving me nuts!!..... choo choo!!

Why do I keep thinking that this thread, "was always meant to be a trilogy."
If a woman has to choose between catching a fly ball and saving an infant's life, she will choose to save the infant's life without even considering if there are men on base.

I'm thinking just another "Joe Hollywood" passing through the site.

Don't worry - this too shall pass... they all have an expiration date.

Sometimes I wonder, like really wonder what our world would be like if people chose to embrace others, or, maybe just not say anything at all? Just seems like wasted energy and time if you have nothing constructive or positive to say. Reminds me of the neighbor who instead of coming over in person to discuss the issue with you face to face, they hide and call the city and then peek through the curtains when the city arrives to tell you your trash can infringes on the neighbors yard by 2 feet, or u didn't shovel properly. I guess it's the old adage of the Easy decision is not always the right decision. People rather be negative and anon, rather than offer information that's helpful or just not say anything at all.

I'll tell you why. 'Cause you said this: "I have been considering giving it more time and attention and to perhaps start managing some bands, OR maybe, just MAYBE offer some services to the local writer community here in some fashion."

So I took two minutes out of my ohso busy schedule of eating Cheerios and watching tv to check the email addy of a guy who is wanting to offer services to DDP writers.

Anyone want to check my email address, go ahead. Got nothing to hide, and you'll find the first few hits of my name with some of my short stories. You'll also find that if you Google Harold Hecuba and DVD rent you'll also find my online porn reviews. I'll take the shunning and the stoning that goes with that.

And, hopefully, this thread will get to double digits without anymore of my involvement.

Well first off, maybe u could have easily pm or since u have my email, could have emailed me with any questions, or perhaps concern you may have had being the done deal police and keeper of the faith and all. Second,,when i said 'here' I meant chicago, the local community here In Chicago. Do you really think I would solicit people on here, being as new as I am not only to this forum, but to the business of writing as well. Really? I'm flattered u care enough to look me up, but I'm done responding to posts unless they are relevant to the actual subject. Also, how are you even still in this forum with all of yourbcondesending, unhelpful, smart Alec, know it all posts anyway? U have served absolutely positively zero good here, jumped to your own conclusions and analysis of myyyyyyyyyyyyy intentions which were hypothetical for discussion. Good by hh, enjoy your cereal.
