What's really bizarre about this person's DM to MB is that I took a quick glance at IMDbPro and Jarrod Murray's contact info is listed right there - snail mail, email and phone.
Wow -- that makes it an ESPECIALLY BAD communication blunder...
Re: Important - How NOT to communicate with people...
Personally, I wouldn't give contact information on anyone to someone I didn't personally know, and, in my opinion, just asking for the information was out of line--before even getting to the snide comment in return.
Show business or any business.
Also, there are probably a lot of people who see TV shows like Hell's Kitchen and get the idea that being a belligerent ass is the way to get ahead.
It's like asking, "Hey, I don't know you, but I'd like to call your friend to sell him some insurance, will you give me his number?"
We're all lucky to have both Michael and Geoff around here. Both of them have been extremely professional and courteous to me, and they certainly deserve the same treatment. I'm mystified as to how even this thread, making such a simple and unassailable point, could devolve into controversy.
I wonder if some of the responses on this thread and the pitch to MichaelB thread may have discouraged him from responding.
Nah.
I'm pretty sure it's because I have him locked in my crawlspace all nice and docile-like after I sandpapered his skin and soaked him in some lemon juice for a spell.
