Unhappy Re: Riverview Films

You really should learn to GOOGLE, pal! This is the first thing that popped up:

Riverview Films encompass the midwest spirit with west coast resources to develop and produce a range of feature films and entertainment that reflects the culture, people and work ethic of Chicago.

Making a feature film is an opportunity for collaboration. Writers, directors, producers, story board artists, grips, PA’s, businesspeople all have equal importance in the creation of our projects. The vision and passion put forth by each member of the team is the foundation of our success. We are grateful for the opportunity to share stories with each other.
Riverview principals have more than fifty years of experience in film and television. Many have backgrounds at Second City Chicago, Steppenwolf, and The Goodman Theatre. They have had films and TV shows Produced and Distributed by Artisan Entertainment, Lions Gate Films, MGM/UA and Sony Pictures.

Dude, I know what they claim to be. I was looking for information as to what fellow writers think they are. Thanks though.

Exclamation Re: Riverview Films

Since they bother to maintain a website (which ain't cheap!) I would kinda imagine they're legit. Maybe I'm wrong, but it goes hand-in-hand with the urban myth of writers having their material ripped off when querying. Sure, it has happened, but it's fracking rare.

Make damn sure to protect your rights, but send out those query letters!
