  • Avatar clips in 3D with no glasses required...

Seems depth when Jake says "everything's changed."

Notice the birds flying and the clouds.

    One more clip:

Anyone notice extra depth to the images?

I hosted those clips. I devised the technique. I mentioned it on IMDB - I did get someone saying there was added depth. If you watch

at the 41 seconds mark you can clearly see there is distance between the leaves and Neytiri's face. There is depth which, technically speaking, is impossible on a 2D image. But it's possible. You can see depth as the birds fly from right to left at the five seconds mark here and later on when Neytiri moves her arm back:

Most people on IMDB have dismissed me as some loon but I can see extra depth, seem 3D (for lack of a better term) and I don't think this has been done before so I'll pursue it for a few months and see if get any positive feedback. There could be some commercial potential in this. I think this is sort of groundbreaking but if no-one else can see the effect it's not going to change the entertainment industry! Oh boy.

        Star Wars in 3D

To the best of my knowledge, no-one ever done that sort of 3D without glasses and without some flashy tv. It may not be IMAX type 3D but there is clear depth. I think it could be groundbreaking but I need to get someone in the entertainment industry to take it seriously.

        Wrong soundtrack, by the way.

I think this is the real gamechanger, folks! Terminator 2 in 3D with no need for glasses or special tvs:

I will try to market my 3D technique next year. I think it could change films forever. Nothing may come of of it but if you can see the 3D depth in that clip, well, there is a chance this is a major advancement in how we watch films. I have to try and see if any studios or electronic companies will see its potential.

Hi - hope no-one minds my posting this extra post.

Terminator 2 - new clip in depth 3D. Notice the depth when John Connor races on bike and the T-1000 gives chase:

I'm uploading a smaller size version (for better picture quality). I plan on uploading a 10 mins or so clip from Star Wars too.

Eh? I don't see 3D in any of those clips. Is this a joke thread, that I'm not picking up on?
Joan: What does the "T" stand for?
              Jack: Trustworthy.

Hi again. No, this isn't a joke thread, honest. I've been working on a 3D effect so I posted some clips. Anyway, I took them down because I've modified the effect. This is a clip from Star Wars with my new 'depth vision' effect. I think it gives more depth to a 2D image but who knows, see what you think. For example, at the 3 seconds mark you see the ship coming down above the other two crafts. I've tried to give it a bit more depth:

I think from now on I'll stick to posting comments about movies, rather than trying to reinvent 3D for tv.
