                  I'll be putting together an article for Script Magazine on the project,so I'll get into details there.

                  In essence, they put out a call for the writing assignment. I had recently completed a similar assignment (inspirational true story) and got permission to send them that script as a writing sample. I also had to do a phone call or two, as well as addressing the "how do you see this playing out?" scenario.

                  So, as to how you could make this play out for you as a writer...
                  1) Have a great script in a similar genre you can show
                  2) "See" the story structurally and be able to articulate that
                  3) Be pretty good at "one-on-one" (I am rarely in the room, it's almost always over the phone, owing to the fact that I am not in LA now.) Believe me, I am NOT an incredible talker, so you don't have to be a super salesman, just be yourself.
