Default ProdCo's for Period Script

I have a script that is set in 1920s USofA and wanted to query production companies that are interested in period scripts.

I've been looking on IMDBPro but that's been a very slow, tedious process.

Any recommendations on how to speed up the search, or if there's a list of Prod Co's based on current wants/needs?

Handicapping what they want is sometimes a losing proposition. Oh they did X so this will interest them! And many times, the fact that they did X might mean they dont want to do something similar again. Except on those occasions when they do.

This list from Virtual Pitchfest should be a good start. It lists what specific companies are seeking, and many identify "period" works. Many are also seeking "prestige" stuff which could also be used to describe period.

You can check them out on IMDBPro, but if you can afford it it'd be a good idea to pitch them through VPF directly, as you're guaranteed a response (within 5 days).

Is it being set in 1920 the most important part of the story or is the stock market crashing? Is an airplane being built? Maybe you're looking at your story the wrong way... and then you can query more production companies than you think.
