this thread is specifically about Sinister and not 4 films
We'd already focussed on Sinister. You wouldn't have been slaughtered for joining in and not mentioning the other 3 films. If you still wanted to start a new thread then fair enough but....just seems strange to me, I guess.

that's your problem then, I looked for threads for this film and didn't see it, specifically because you made a thread about 4 films. If you have a problem don't respond to this thread.
Good Horrors are rare these days...hope the reviews stay high. I'm intrigued. Also looking forward to seeing the Anthology that played well at Sundance, "V/H/S."

Wow. SINISTER is one wretched affair. It really, really wants to be a suburban version of THE SHINING, but has no idea how to go about it other than lifting a few obvious aspects and have Ethan Hawk paraphrase Jack Torrence. And instead of Danny doing that stupid finger thing, here we have a bunch of kids trying to look creepy by doing a SHHH gesture. Just looks silly.
It's also boring, derivative and kind of ludicrous. I think they had a haunted house trope list that they were working through. Shot well, though.
The script's written by C. Robert Cargill aka Masswyrm from Ain't It Cool News...Harry Knowles reviewed the film and tried to be positive but isn't a big fan of it.
