Producer Looking For Scripts
Hey DD buddies, I guess I'm subscribed to something on Hollywoodlit sales cause I got an email that listed this lead within the email:
Buyer Name: Jonathan Eskenas
Company: Orly Adelson Producitons
Credits: 3; Code Breakers; Odd Girl Out
Is there money upfront? possibly
Contact Person: Jon Eskenas
Years In Business: 15
Email: firstname.lastname@example.org at
Screenplay Wanted: We're looking for scripts with teenage leads (14-16 year old leads). Can be male or female. High concept, no period pieces. Would love to find something with a bit of a "fairy tale" element to it - i.e. about a princess; but, anything in this age range can be considered. Please email logline only (scripts will be requested if there is further interest). Thanks very much.
Didn't know if anyone had anything for it, but thought I'd throw it out there Good luck!!

Re: Producer Looking For Scripts
What I'd like to know is has any aspiring screenwriter ever truly benefited from responding to one of these script wanted ads, i.e. sold a screenplay, been paid to do a rewrite, or gone on to have a successful screenwriting career as a direct result of the movie that was made from his script?
Can't sell a script, win script comps, or maintain a screenwriting career? Just what the hell are you gonna do to make ends meet, you failure, you? Two words for you: script doctor.
