Petitioning production companies or managers to read a script about footvolley isn't working so well, either because it's too esoteric or because they simply don't read unsolicited emails.
But as it happens, Alexander Payne and McG are huge fans of footvolley. They play every weekend. They grew up on it. They may "get" it in a way another set of eyes wouldn't. Querying their prodcos. hasn't netted any results.
Is there a next step? Do any agents/managers accommodate unrepped writers on a trial basis to see if a specific filmmaker would bite?
