Re: Final Draft question
I work with Movie Magic and had to put it into FD recently (so this may be different). I found that trying to go from PDF or RTF to FD SUCKS! But if you export from MM to txt, then just copying and pasting into FD, no problem.
So this may not apply, but prehaps it can help you?

Re: Final Draft question
John August has an app called Highland that does just that: http://quoteunquoteapps.com/highland/
If you are on Windows, you can use a program to convert from pdf to formatted txt, like PDF2TXT: http://www.pdf2txt.com/
And then import the result .txt file into Final Draft.
In both cases, you may need to do some tidying up afterwards.
