    Re: The human centipede.

I saw the trailer and was taken back to some of my favorite movies.

    The Brain that Wouldn't Die.
    Shreik of the Mutilated
    Blood Farmers

A "shocking" premise. A mad scientist. Sexy women in peril.

Human Centipede II... filmed in the UK... BANNED in the UK...

It is the Board's carefully considered view that to issue a certificate to this work, even if confined to adults, would be inconsistent with the Board's Guidelines, would risk potential harm within the terms of the VRA, and would be unacceptable to the public.

Unreal. We have no TV edition of movies and films are shown, uncut, on terrestrial/free to air TV from 9pm onwards. Last night was the superb Role Models with the eff word every other line - even by an 8 yr old - on at 9pm. The Thing was the night before and it wasn't that long ago that BBC2 screened Pulp Fiction for the umpteenth time. No edits, no bleeps, no "safe" versions. These films are not banished to PPV cable or satellite.

We generally laugh at the uptight US censors and haven't experienced anything like this since the overblown "video nasty" fever of the early 80's. I wonder if it's less to do with this film and more to do with the fact it's coming on the heels of A Serbian Film and they feel they need to send a message out. Having said that, the film does sound a total piece of garbage and I say that as a horror & gore fan.
