  • Bond 23: Skyfall

    Micro spoiler

Sounds like a John Gardner title rather than a Fleming one, but I hope the whole Bond's loyalty to M is handled better than Die Another Day and The World is Not Enough's M-involved plots.

Whatever it is, it can't be any worse than QoS ... or was that PoS?

Yeah, saw that item this morning. It's good that things are moving again... at the very least, the production will keep a lot of people employed!

But, gotta say, after the dull disappointment of Casino Royale, I waited until Quantum of Solace was available as a cheap second-hand DVD -- and was right to do so. I reckon I'll probably do the same with Skyfall... unless they release some kick-ass trailers/clips and the promise of an entertaining storyline. Or maybe some good DD reviews will swing it for me.

Why don't they just remake the Roger Moore entries? They weren't that good as thrillers, and too camp for their own good.

They could do that. But The Spy Who Loved Me should be left alone. It's arguably the best of the Roger Moore era and stands on its own.

The cast is sick. Bardem, Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Albert Finney (and of course Craig & Dench).

It would probably end up being covered by Lady Gaga.
