Have a couple short scripts that I held on to, thinking I'd direct them some day. Finally decided not to, and have been approached by a couple different directors. So, I'll probably end up producing instead.
Issue is that I am WGA. Meaning I'd have to pay myself WGA scale for the script and become (as a producer) a WGA signatory.
Feedback from WGA is that it is best to set up an LLC and then sign WGA signatory documents. Then I can defer pay under the Low Budget Agreement, or use the New Media contract for anything going on the Internet.
Anybody out there WGA member who has been in this situation (while in WGA, not before)?
