  • Looking for films with - A guy/org. behind the curtain

I'm trying to find movies that reveal at/near the end that there's a guy/organization behind the curtain who's really running things. Released within the past 10-15 years or so (more recent, the better).

The protag may think A is running things, but then at the end learns that it's actually B. Or suspects that someone is running things, but only finds out who it is near the end.

Or the protag doesn't even know there's anyone running things - he/she just thinks that X, Y, and Z happened - but then at the end discovers that the guy behind the screen made those things happen. Or maybe protected the protag from being killed by X/Y/Z.

Behind the curtain could be: Dad, mom, MI-5, Ben & Jerry, the Assoc. of Ferret Owners, or etc.

I'm primarily looking for comedies, but suspense movies could be good, too. Not so much - action, thrillers, or sci-fi.

If ya know of any, please let me know. Thanks.

    The Dark Knight Rises

Oops! Didn't see the comedy part. Hmmm...

    I'm stumped.

      Must Be Mentioned...

The Association of Ferret Owners recommends:

      JEKYLL & CANADA (free .mp4 download @ Vimeo.com)

The Stepford Wives remake fits that criteria exactly but.... not so great a movie.

That's kind of like asking for films about soldiers, but no war films.

I don't know of any non-thrillers like that.
