  • Pitch Document Examples

Does anyone have an example of a pitch document? I'm doing some research into pitching and looking for some good examples.

    Thanks!

    Re: Pitch Document Examples

i've been taking Masterclasses this year, and here's what i've learned... she runs her verbal pitch similar to her written pitch.
    • 5 - 10 min max
    • start with your premise
    • explain your world
    • introduce characters
    • explain what happens in your feature/pilot (plot)
    • say it's going to be funny, moving, romantic
    • if TV, talk about how many episodes you have planned
    • wrap up and thank your audience

important to reiterate, 5 - 10 min max

here's one from Brian Fuller http://web.archive.org/web/201509261...tline/#content

here's a link to what Shonda Rhimes includes as above and below... https://www.robinfusco.com/single-po...-Anatomy-Pitch

i've taken this Masterclass. she has one for Grey's Anatomy-- 10 pages long.
talks about "what" it is -- 1 page
    premise -- 1 page
    tone -- 1 paragraph
characters -- ensemble cast she goes through each main -- 4 pages
    1st episode and A story, B story, and C story -- 2 pages
future episodes -- personal threads and medical threads -- 2 pages

there are a lot of bibles available on line, too.

Since you noted an actual physical document, what is this for? A feature film? A TV series? Is this for you to reference while verbally pitching or for you to pass on to someone to read only?
