  • SCRIPT PIMP 2009 screenwriting competition winners announced July, 1st.

If I'm not mistaken, and for all those who entered, I've found this piece of information on the home page of their website [down on the left -- "Script Pimp in the news"].

    http://scriptpimp.com/

    "June, 2009
The 2009 Script Pimp Writing Competitions are now closed. Winners announced July 1st. Check back in August for the 2010 Screenwriting and TV contests."

I'm quite sure I've never read this before.

    They surely are fast!

Based on their Readers, most of my colleagues have dubbed this the "Best of Craigslist" awards.

Well Craigslist readers or not..a quick crosscheck with the Page Quarterfinalist thread shows that 5 of the scripts:
                          Lycan or Not (Frank Reavey)
                          Belle Starr (Cynthia Pullham)
                          The Eleven (Troy Taylor)
                          Djinn (Matthew Altman)
Inheritance (Jeannette Manning & Joseph Yuan)

are also still in competition for that contest too..So I'd say there must be some genuine talent there and I'd love to read those scripts. A double congrats to those screenwriters! Good Luck....well maybe a tad more luck in Pimp than Page since I'm not in competition there
