Default Finding email formats....

Hi all,

I'm about to start sending out queries for a recently completed spec, and am wondering how everyone has generally gone about getting email addresses, other than PM'ing people on here.

Can you call and ask for their email structure?

Thanks,

The best single resource is IMDBPro -- $15.95 a month, but a wealth of information -- usually including e-mail addresses. And it also caters to the old saying, "Knowledge is power."

Great- I wasn't sure if it had emails, as the other big knowledge center, STUDIO SYSTEM, does not.

I've had a lot of luck just searching based on guesses. So like for example, if you find a company's web site, you will know that's what comes after the @ sign.

Then if you try searching for "firstname@company.com" you may get some other personal sites from other writers or actors who list their reps' contact info on their own sites.

I have found several manager e-mails this way. I use the Scoggins Report to find managers with recent sales, then I google their names and companies in the way I described. If first name comes up empty, I try first initial last name.
