HBO is giving David Simon at least another season of The Deuce set in that same milieu. My main question is whether there is really enough history of the gay rights movement to sustain an entire series over several seasons (the 80s, with the onset of the AIDS crisis and Reagan's homophobic government feels like more fertile ground for a long-form story)

Original post seems to have been deleted but based on the post just below that, yeah, I'd watch it. It's important people not many people know much about.
