Default Re: Amazon Studios 45 days - Still evaluating?

This is nothing new. For me, it usually goes:

Day 1: 1 download, into Evaluating
Day 2: 1 more download, into Deciding

Later that day, Complete (pass)

Far more rarely, I get this:

Day 1: 1 download,into Evaluating
Day 2+: 1 or 2 more downloads, still in Evaluating
Day whenever (10 to 100 or more days): 1 or 2 more downloads, into Deciding

Later that day, Complete (pass)

I have two in this situation, right now, but as I say most are the first category.

Some have said they've had things forever in Deciding. Me? Never.

Hmmmm, are they pilots or features? (Just curious).

The metrics I described were for features.

I haven't written any pilots, per se, but have successfully broken up some of my features into pilots+episode(s), and typically those were processed over a range of 40-80 days with 2-5 downloads; all passes unfortunately.

It seemed at that time the studio took more time with pilots. And note, it was confirmed from AS personnel that they use different readers for features and pilots.

I should add, that all I'm submitting these days are revisions, not originals. Over the past year I've done some heavy polishes of my stuff, and AS hadn't had a look at some of them in 2-3 years.

So give it another whirl if you have something interesting!

Yikes! Those are good results. I submitted a pilot -- it was downloaded once, and was in Evaluating for over a year and then went straight to a pass.

You must have stuff that piques their interest right off the bat

Well, you don't have to worry about waiting much longer.

I got an email late today informing me that Amazon Studios will no longer be accepting submissions and that the website is shutting down completely in June.

What isn't clear from the email is how much longer folks with scripts in the "Deciding" stage will have to wait to get final word.

I didn't get the email but not surprised.
