Can anyone think of a film/script that has a montage sequence where a character is on the phone with various people, one after another.

    Thanks!

Not one after another but here's a scene from Mean Girls where they're all on the phone at the same time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVN7TJRRskQ

Article: “Ten of the greatest phone scenes in the movies

The Pillow Talk phone conversation has three persons speaking.

(in decades past, I've seen older films where an optical is used [a DPM - Digital Picture Manipulator], usually to humorous effect, as the screen briefly splits, for example, from two to four to eight townsfolk speaking to one another on a phone about “the latest gossip,” but for the life of me I can't recall any of those old B&W films’ titles)

probably of no help but GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS may have something like that.

maybe JERRY MAGUIRE. MONEYBALL. WALLSTREET. etc.

It's been a while, but I think "All the President's Men." And "Spotlight", probably.

Yeah. ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN probably best example. Took a scribe like Goldman to make that kinda thing concise and impactful.
