  • Max Landis is... writing a Pepe Le Pew script

"But he has a couple of problems - his malodorous scent and his refusal to take "no- for an answer."

That won't lead to a ton of too-easy jokes.

I loved this cartoon as a child. I wonder what it will be -- how do you make a feature-length out of what is essentially a one-joke cartoon? Also, how do you retain its essential mojo and have it not be rapey? I'm pretty sure we look down on rapey nowadays.

After recent presidential nominations, I'd just assumed the Republicans made it OK again.

        "Malodorous scent."

Jesus Christ. I hope the person who wrote that didn't get paid for it.

Why does everyone recognize Speedy Gonzalez as a horrible stereotype and not Pepe Le Pew? You know who deserves to be made fun of after the past few years? The French. They haven't had any tough times.

At least they didn't hire someone I'm excited about. This is an easy one to dodge.

The Cannes film festival might set up a Guillotine d'Or especially for Max's noble service to the people of France.
