  • A manager asked for my script, and...

...then asked me to forward the script to another manager in the same firm so they could both read it over.

Is this a common happenstance? What does it signify, if anything?

    Any insight is appreciated.

    Thanks,

It's perfectly fine, although I don't know why the manager in question wouldn't have just forwarded the script himself. Managers really like second opinions. This is probably a good thing for you.

All it means is that he wanted you to send it to both him and his colleague. Nothing more, nothing less.

          It could mean several things:

          1. The company might work as a management "team" and therefore he needs to bring other people on board.

          2. He may not have the time to take on the project personally, but knows someone at his company who's looking for this type of material.

          3. He's throwing a bone to a baby manager (or rising assistant) who's looking to accrue clients.

          4. He wants a second opinion.

Ultimately, this isn't unusual, and all the things I listed are GOOD.
