Someone needs to explain Twitter to me. It feels like an incomplete Facebook. I mean, it's to hear your own voice, right? Doesn't Facebook do the same thing but people can communicate with you too? Seems good for celebrities or people who think they're celebrities, but I don't think people want to hear my daily observations. What am I missing?

An overinflated sense of how interesting others find you?
Well, my first script deal with a producer was a result of twitter.
It's not limited to your daily observations, etc. Celeb ego type crap. Tons of good film info on there as well. Orci, August, Rogers - a plethora of writing knowledge thrown out there.

To each his own.
I guess that's kind of intriguing, but I use my news reader for that and don't they have a text limit? I mean how much "knowledge" are you getting from a tweet? I'm being sincere here, I really don't know anything about Twitter.
Ok, difference from Facebook (which I left, full disclaimer) - No privacy issues. No ads popping up on my computer specifically targeted towards my age and interests.
Sure, 140 characters limited. But can link to their blogs, such as deadline Hollywood, etc. Heck, @trackingboardcom has great stuff across their feed. So, it's not giving a screenwriting class or anything in limited text, but a sharing of links, news, movie reviews. I like it. Might not be for everyone.

I follow people who post links to articles, pictures, and videos. They cover everything from the stock market, to pop culture, to comedy, to the arts.
I don't have much to say on twitter, but I do like to listen. I think of it as peer to peer news.
