Re: Top 55 Highest-Paid Spec Scripts

I had lunch with my producer this Thursday. He and I were remarking that lots of Harvard and Harvard MBAs are in Hollywood when they could be making money elsewhere. He asked me why I'm doing it. I said "It's a sexy business." He asked "But why is it sexy?"

I didn't know. He said "Because you are pursuing a job that you love. It's not about the money. It's about being in an industry doing what you love. And you have the opportunity to share that love with your audience. That's why it's sexy."

Of course, after the convo, he drove off in his $100K Mercedes and I walked two blocks to get my car that is a 16 year-old car with 280K miles.

all this jus goes to show you really have to love writing to be in this for the long run.

Sounds like you have a well made car. May I ask who the manufacturer is?
