Hi all,
So I borrowed from a friend his dvd set of Oz. I have heard about this show since back in the 90's when it was on tv.
I am only up to the 5th episode, but I must say I am highly impressed by the interesting shots and great dialog.
I love the "window character" (the guy in the wheelchair) who breaks the 4th wall to introduce us to the other characters and to impart his wisdom.
There are many familiar faces and from what I understand, this series helped a lot of careers.
It is an intriguing dichotomy about jail life and how, many times, the "jailers" are worse than the "criminals".
For the time, I guess it would be considered very "edgy". It is very refreshing to see something different, even by today's standards.
So who else remembers this series? I would love to know your thoughts.
