Default I'd Prefer to Search Rather Than Bother You!

I appreciate the help you all provide to those of us looking for e-mail addresses of the powers-that-be, but it seems as if I--and many others--
could help ourselves by searching the Done Deal database for such info.

HOWEVER, when I try to search a name via the DD search engine, I
invariably get a zillion responses because the search engine divides up
names.

For example, I'm currently trying to find the e-mail address of Kelly
Hayes, Director of Development, at the Walt Becker Company because
they produce films that, for the most part, seem to curry the demographics that my scripts do.

Even when I enclose "Walt Becker Company" in quotes, which is what I often do successfully on Google, I get back myriad independent results for "Walt" and "Becker" and "Company"--which is quite often no help at all.

Cutting to the chase, and kudos if you've read this far, is there any way to
"tighten" the search process, so I can get the entire name of the person or company in a search rather than a word-by-word return? Any help would be much appreciated!

Curious, why did you pick Kelly? Wouldn't aiming for Ross Putman, their CE, give you a better shot at a read?

Best,

Thanks for the prompt response and question. I'm using Done Deal's list of production companies, and below are two of the names listed:

Kelly Hayes Director of Development & Production

Ross Putnam Creative Executive

I thought Kelly was the better of the two to query; you, obviously, think
differently--I'm guessing because you know the company and prinicipals
better than I or many others do.

In any case, I'm debating whether a professionally-prepared letter might
be a better form of communication than an e-mail. I realize an e-mail is quicker, but it seems to me that a letter addressed to a power-that-be might be a more effective route. Having said that, it's obvious, from this forum at least, that e-mails are the way to go for most--if a correct e-mail is available.

I'd be interested on your input on the subject!

P.S. I'd also like to know why my posts to this forum invariably have a
couple of much longer lines than the others, though the posts look very
well aligned when I send them.

Because there are bad line breaks in them. Are you hitting the return/enter key as you type? Or are you typing up your responses in Word then copying and pasting into the text field?

In either case, use the PREVIEW POST button first, not the SUBMIT REPLY. See how it looks. Even when responding to your post via the QUOTE button, I could easily see there were/are line break problems. You (and a few others who do this) should be able to correct all before posting anything live. Not to mention there is an EDIT button, which you can click below any of your posts and you can always fix it after the fact. It's all correctable.
