I just finished reading "Number 9 Dream" by David Mitchell and I am sooo confused by the ending. Anyone? If u have read it please tell me what you think.

I loved it, but I'm a little confused by the ending. Was the earthquake just a dream or was it real? Do you think it's supposed to be completely open to interpretation or is there an answer? It's driving me nuts.
