I haven't yet used La Femme's services, but as soon as I get the money I will (damn, when WILL I win the lottery - LOL!) but I have had the opportunity to get to know her a bit outside of using her script coverage service and she's pretty fantastic. She's given me some fantastic advice on other parts of the business and career advice, so I'm looking very forward to using her coverage service soon...and the posts she puts on The Rough Wave are MAGNIFICENT

I just used Julie's Logine yoga service for a new idea I
have because I realized that my approach to my ideas is to throw myself in to them without taking an approach that will in the long run maximize their effectiveness as as script and as something that's truly marketable. Very pleased with her service and will avail myself of her rough draft service when I have one. The best part is I've never been more confident I'll finish one.

I just wanna throw my two cents in here and say that everything in this thread is true.
Her notes addressed some issues in our script that we've tackled, ultimately making the script much better. La Femme's a joy to work with. She knows the craft like the back of her hand, offers ideas and very sound advice, and even took care of us on short notice. She's fantastic! |

Hey everybody - for those Done Dealers interested in The Script Whisperer, I had a few questions about my readers and who reads your script these days. I do all Story Notes and Jr. Story Notes and my readers do Overnight Express and the Two and Three reader packages (along with me; I would always be the 2nd or 3rd reader). I am always personally available upon request for any reading needs you have.

I would also like to add my two-cents worth.
I have found Julie a joy to work with. She is accessible and responsive. I don't think I have ever waited for more than a couple of hours to receive a response to any of my queries. As for her notes? I have found them to be right on and helpful. On one particular script, which I had previously received notes, she pointed out similar issues but provided interesting solutions. And the price can't be beat. I urge all Done Dealers to give her a try. You won't be disappointed. Regards, |

I just used The Script Whisperer service, via Julie and Andrew (one of her new partners). Not only was I happy with the quality of the notes and the price, they offer an overnight option.
Um, yeah. If you're impatient like me, this is ideal. Sometimes you just can't wait 5-7 days for feedback, or however long it could take other services. They've also put me in touch with someone who may help get my script out to producers/agents. That's pretty great too. Definitely recommend. |

Hey everybody - I"ll be announcing this more formally soon but The Script Whisperer has morphed into....The Script Department. There are several of us now and we felt the new name is more descriptive. Same great services although we will be offering a killer pre-holiday special in an upcoming newsletter plus a new service we offer through Jim Mercurio and a Rouge Wave holiday scene competition with some pretty nifty prizes.
Thank you everyone who has been so kind and supported The Script Whisperer. I know you will continue to do so as The Script Department! xo |

p.s.
If there are any DDers who'd like to receive my newsletter and be apprised of the holiday special or other goings on at The Script Department or The Rouge Wave, just send me a PM and I can add you to the list. The Rouge Wave is doing a neat holiday scene competition with 3 really fun prizes so check that out if you're in the mood to jot off something short and brilliant! |
