Vampires, Zombies, Werewolves, Space Aliens, Giant Japanese Lizards!

What monster stories have you read on PGL, and were they any good?????

Let's see. The one that stands out the most in my mind is a werewolf screeplay, and, as I've said once before, it was really very good. Good dialogue, fast pace, great resolution and unexpected ending. I gave it high marks.

I think that's the only "monster" story I've gotten to read. I was really hoping to catch one of the vampire screenplays I've heard about, as that's one of my favorite type of genre to watch and read, but, alas, I wasn't that lucky.

I read one involving demons in a parochial school. It was good. I thought it was going to be terrible, as the title was ridiculous.

Default ...it was a graveyard bash

The only monster one I have read involved a killer who was spiritually connnected to a deer. Haven't had the luck to have a vampire one, though. IMO, I don't think even a very good vampire flick has a chance of winning if there is another spec up to its level about a different horror subject. I think the market is overloaded with them right now, and I just read on DD where 2 more sold this month. This and the fact that PGL is making this movie for approximately a million, does not bode well for a Vamp flick, I think.

Default .

I read a couple of slasher scripts, and a script where Jack the Ripper is an immortal being wandering around killing people every so often - but that's as close to the supernatural as I got.

There was also a script where lots of freaky stuff was happening to this girl reading a horror book but it turned out to have a Bobby Ewing ending of sorts so I don't consider that "real" supernatural stuff.

The other horror / thriller material I came across was straight up serial killer in the real world stuff.

Sounds like an episode of "Highlander" (snicker).

I picked one vampire script, but unfortunately the file had a title page and nothing else but 90+ blank pages. That's such a shame when that happens. It was a really low entry number too, so you know they hurried to get the script uploaded.

Default Still lots of scripts?

There must be a lot of scripts still left to be reviewed. I'm making this assumption based on the fact that I'm still being offered a choice of three...

They may be doing that in an attempt to raise the minimum number of reviews received for all scripts.

Default monsters

Let's see... I read two scripts about angels and demons, one script about witches, one script about a "crik" monster, one yes, one script about vampires.

And the vampire one was good. The highest marks I gave to any script.
