The Artists Agency (TAA)

They're top rated in Hollywood for actors, directors, and producers since the Stone Age, it seems. Do they also handle screenwriters and novelists? Are they signatory of WGA? Would it be a good starting point or a waste of time to get repped by them? Thanks for you inputs.

Yes, they are signatory to WGA.
Yes, they rep writers.
They package scripts with directors, actors etc.
If you can get repped by them, it would be a good thing.
A very good thing.
You could do a lot worse.
