Default online writers groups/mailing lists

My first post after lurking for some time.

I live in an Asian city where as far as I know there are no screenwriting groups, certainly not English ones. Peer feedback is tough to find.

I've browsed Yahoo Groups, and there are many, many screenwriting mailing lists, so the writers group that I am hoping to find probably already exists, but doesn't include me.

What I would like to find, or perhaps form, is a small online group of 12-15 serious screenwriters. Pending discussions with members, I see it as allowing each writer to post two scripts a calendar year. These would be read and reviewed by every other member. Ideally, only one script would be in play each week and members would review it in one week.

So your script would get 12-15 reviews of, say, 500 words each. They would be written with care by adults who would expect the same from you. Maturity and trust are key.

(If members decide between themselves to exchange more scripts, fine, as long as they fulfill reading obligations to the group).

Submissions could be anonymous or not. One person could act as a moderator. Members would submit their pdf scripts to him/her and he/she would send them to other members without identification. The same could work with reviews. Whatever members want.

They could discuss the coverage, ask screenwriting questions or whatever else on the mailing list.

This wouldn't be of interest to LA, NY or London writers, I suppose, where I am told peer coverage is easy to find on a tit-for-tat basis. But I could be wrong.

Perhaps I am out of the loop and many here are already in a similar group, but am curious what you think.

I would try zoetrope.com. Some of your reviews may not be up to a professional standard, but it's still a good source of feedback.
