Default I'm Sorry...

... but I had to post about this.

How freakin' hilarious is that going to be? I mean, honestly, how is anyone backing this project being able to envision a hybrid car not being over-the-top with extra cheese?

At times I am so utterly baffled by the decisions made in this business.

Part of me is curious to see the script. I seriously don't think I could put together 90 pages about a lame hybrid terror car. I might actually have to give kudos to the writer on this one.

Brought to you by the director of One Missed Call and the writer of Hellraiser: Deader!

Alright!

Alright!
Neal is a phenomenal writer. Guaranteed he has an interesting take on the story. If you haven't read the original Deader, his spec before Dimension bought it and fuc!ked it up beyond all recognition by rewriting it as a Hellraiser script, I highly recommend you do.

Neal posts over at Absolute Write. Here's his description of the premise (copied from a thread there):
Quote:
A group of mechanics in an underground police garage come to realize that a wrecked car, brought in in the aftermath of a head-on collision, is actually a chameleon-like predator.

So basically, they all end up stuck in this big underground garage with this bizarre organism that normally feeds on people by disguising itself as a car, sort of like a giant venus fly trap -- they see this beautiful car, climb inside, it seals itself up, floods its insides with digestive juices, it's got itself another meal.

Except one day, one of these things is driving along on the highway, gets broadsided and knocked unconscious and is towed into this police garage. Then it wakes up and finds itself locked in, and like any animal, especially a wounded animal -- it doesn't like being trapped.
-------

While it's undoubtedly far fetched, it could be a total blast.
