It's an interesting premise. So simple, yet I don't think it's ever been done.. surprisingly. The title definitely has to go. It doesn't really do anything to enhance the story at all.

Titles should convey the central aspect of your story, tone, and possibly genre.. if you're good enough. Most people can't though. Over 90% of spec scripts have 'meh' titles. Remember, it's the first thing that the reader or exec sees. Catch their attention right from the beginning. It won't guarantee anything, obviously, but at least they'll be in the right mindset when they turn to page 1.

And that's just from 80s slasher films.

I can attest to this. I had a lot of people respond to my last query with 'great title!' even if they couldn't solicit it for one reason or another.

So the title does matter.

Not sure I like this idea - it pushes the limits of believability...what are the odds that one of these wackos happens to pick another one up? Sounds like an episode for Dexter.

I wrote a script last year with this same subject. A serial killer meets another serial killer. In my script there is a specific reason why and how this supposed improbable "coincidence" happens.

If anyone has this script, I would like to see if they have such an explanation in their script.

I don't believe so. Honestly, I don't know if Seth frequents this board anymore.
