Do anyone know any urban production or film companies that take submissions?

Try www.Maverickentertainment.cc I've worked on several of their urban dramas, they are always looking. Also they are located in Fl. Let me know how it goes.

I just learned that Maverick are on production shutdown at the moment. Which is quite unusual for them.

This board's very own Mark Hernandez has posted threads looking for Urban scripts. It was a few months back, so I don't know if he's still looking for that genre. His handle is CrescendoEG for the newbies. Give him a search.

Just to clarify for anybody who wants to pursue--there are two Mosaics. I've actually dealt with the one--Mosaic Media Group, which is a mgt./prod. co. that has done Elf and reps Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey, Craig Kilborn, etc.

Just a heads up to query the right Mosaic. I think that one might actually be based in New York.

They requested one of mine. But I haven't head back yet...it's only been a week.

Does Maverick pay writers for their screenplays or screenplays they selected for production? The reason I ask this is on thier release form they say the writer shall not recieve any compensation for this submission. Anyone had any personal dealings or deals with Maverick to share with me?
